During telephone booking hours, appointments and information are available by phone only. Please call us rather than visiting the centre in person to make a booking. If we cannot answer, our telephone system will let you know, and we will call you back as soon as possible. We cannot return calls to foreign phone numbers.
In the case of diagnostic and therapeutic services provided at our health center, telephone contact, accurate data collection, and appropriate questioning and information of patients are indispensable.
What rules apply to the care of persons under the age of 18 (under 18)?
In our Health Centre we do not provide services to persons under 14 years of age (who have not yet reached their 14th year).
At our Health Center, persons between the ages of 14 and 18 (those who have reached the age of 14 and have not reached the age of 18) can receive the following services under the following conditions:
– MRI examinations: only based on a written specialist referral or recommendation
– laboratory tests (blood tests): only on the basis of a written referral or recommendation from a specialist
– therapeutic exercise: only on the basis of a written referral or recommendation from a specialist
– physical therapy: only on the basis of a written referral or recommendation from a specialist
Between the ages of 14 and 18, children have limited legal capacity, regardless of their ability to reason, therefore we do not and cannot perform MRI or laboratory tests, physiotherapy or physical therapy on them, solely at the request of their parents, as required by law.
Are all services available throughout the telephone booking hours listed on the website?
No. Telephone booking hours differ from the opening hours and the hours when individual services are available.
You can receive information about the exact time of your order by phone.
When should I arrive? Will the agreed times be kept?
Please arrive at our center 15 minutes early for the necessary administration and any preparations (using the toilet, drinking water, getting dressed). The agreed examination time specifically means the start of the given examination.
We keep to our appointment times, there is no waiting time, we always provide our patients with sufficient time to examine, treat, inform and answer their questions. Accordingly, we cannot accept delays compared to the appointment time, as this would make it impossible to keep further appointments and would also delay the examination times of other patients who arrived on time. Please be considerate of other patients as well.
What should I do if I am late?
If you are late, please be sure to notify us by phone to see if we can accommodate you despite the delay. It is possible that we can accommodate a few minutes of delay, but we certainly cannot accept any longer delays.
To avoid delays, check the BKK website or the internet for traffic and any restrictions before you leave, and leave on time.
Can I come to you for a check-up with a TB referral?
No.
Our Health Center does not have a contractual relationship with the National Health Insurance Fund (NEAK), therefore we do not perform NEAK (TB) funded examinations and treatments, only privately paid (paid) care is available.
Can I get a TB referral from you for further tests?
No.
We cannot provide a NEAK (TB) reimbursement referral for further examinations during private healthcare.
Can they accommodate emergency or urgent cases?
No.
We do not provide emergency or urgent care, and we do not have night or weekend services.
Never go to us thinking that they will take care of you on a "whatever happens" basis, because you definitely won't have the opportunity to do so.
What do I absolutely need to bring with me to the tests?
The basic requirement for visiting our Health Center is to complete personal identification, the purpose of which is to determine whether the person presenting the document is the same as the person requesting the examination.
Therefore, we ask that you bring with you to the examination:
– original and valid (not photocopied, not scanned) ID card (in the absence of this, a passport or driver's license is also suitable),
– your original (not photocopied, not scanned) address card,
– your original (not photocopied, not scanned) TAJ (Social Security Identification Card) card.
We will not conduct an inspection without an original official photo ID!
Currently, the use of the TAJ number is also mandatory for private healthcare due to the Electronic Health Service Space (EESZT), so we ask that you bring your original (not photocopied, not scanned) TAJ card with you! The TAJ number does not have to be valid for this, we do not check this, it is used solely for identification and documentation.
Always bring with you to the examinations written and visual documentation related to your previous medical examinations, illnesses, and treatments (referral, final report, outpatient data sheet, laboratory results, X-ray film, CD, etc.).
It's better to bring everything with you, even if it's unnecessary, than to be missing some important documentation.
What are the consequences if I don't speak up, or if I speak up on the same day and don't go to the scheduled examination?
We can only accept cancellations of appointments (this applies to all our services) by phone (not by email), at least 24 hours before the examination.
If the patient does not show up at the agreed - pre-booked and coordinated - time and does not call to say that they will not be coming, or cancels within 24 hours, they will not be able to receive another appointment at our center.
Advance payment is non-refundable, for specific examination(s) and time(s), which cannot be modified or transferred within 24 hours.
If the patient then requests the invoice to be sent, but does not transfer it, they will not be able to receive another appointment at our institution.
How many tests can I register for at the same time?
In the case of an MRI scan, we will book a patient for a maximum of 4 regions (i.e. 4 pieces) of MRI scans at a time, no more.
If you book MRI scans of 2, 3 or 4 regions, or several different examinations at the same time, you must transfer the full examination fee to our bank account in advance, on the day of booking, using the invoice we issue. Advance payments are non-refundable and apply to the specified examinations and appointments. Bookings cannot be changed within 24 hours of the appointment and are not transferable.
How many MRI scans can I sign up for at once if I am claustrophobic?
If you have known or suspected claustrophobia (feeling of being confined in small spaces), please only sign up for one test. If this first test is successful, you can request an appointment for further tests.
What other options do I have for an MRI scan if I am claustrophobic?
If you have known claustrophobia, we recommend that you come in for a free trial session at a pre-arranged time, get to know the place and the MRI machine, and if you feel you will be able to pass, request an appointment for an examination.
When and how can I take advantage of the discounted prices on the website?
Discounted prices apply if you transfer the full examination fee to our bank account in advance, using the invoice we issue. Advance payments are non-refundable and apply to the specified examinations and appointments. Bookings cannot be changed within 24 hours of the appointment and are not transferable. Advance bank transfer is mandatory for MRI scans, bone density scans and specialist telephone consultations about MRI reports.
Please do not transfer any amount in advance without an invoice issued and sent by us.
Do you need a referral?
You can apply for diagnostic tests (MRI tests, bone density tests, blood tests) over the age of 18 either on medical advice or at your own discretion.
However, we recommend that you undergo a specialist examination before the examinations. It may happen that an MRI or laboratory examination is not required. It may also happen that the part of the body that the patient thinks is sick should not be examined. Our center cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from unprofessional instructions regarding the examination of our patient if, despite the warning, the patient requests an examination that does not correspond to the examination necessary to detect changes that actually explain the complaints professionally!
A medical/specialist referral or recommendation for physical therapy is required.
How can I pay?
In our center, it is possible to pay with cash, bank card and PayPass card.
We do not accept direct payment by health fund card. Health fund members may claim reimbursement for our services using the invoice.
In accordance with the applicable laws, the invoice is always issued in the name and address of the recipient (i.e. the person actually using the service); we cannot issue the invoice in another name! We can indicate all other data and requests in the notes section of the invoice.
Can I bring a companion with me?
Given the medical devices, chemicals, and medications in our center - in accordance with the accident prevention and hygiene regulations - a patient may stay in our center with a maximum of one companion, if justified and necessary. When is justified and necessary? If the patient is claustrophobic and the companion is going in for an MRI examination with him, or the patient has limited mobility.
Do not bring children as companions!
Where can I park?
Our center has more than 250 free parking spaces available. We have 5 parking spaces for ambulances and people with mobility impairments right next to our center.
What tests are performed? Can I find everything on the website?
In our center, we only perform the examinations and treatments listed on our website. Please only find out about our services on our website. What is clearly stated on our website cannot be a basis for dispute. What is not listed on the website, we will not perform.
In the case of other websites (health portals, etc.), we are not responsible for the content found there.
Professional materials, information, and videos on the website may not be used in any form without written consent.
How can I get a copy of my previous report?
Under our privacy and data protection policy (GDPR), copies of written reports, images and medical documentation on MRI CDs or USB drives are released for a separate fee. They may be collected in person with proof of identity, or by a representative with formal written authorisation.
In other cases than the above, for example, we are unable to provide medical documentation upon request by telephone.
If you would like to request a copy of any written, CD or USB drive findings, please notify us in advance by phone and come to collect them at the agreed time. If you do not arrive at the agreed time, we cannot guarantee the release of the findings.
Can I inquire and ask questions about the results of the tests performed by phone or email?
No.
We do not provide any information, clarification or evaluation regarding the results of the tests performed by phone or e-mail, and this is not possible.
We do not call a doctor on the phone, and they cannot speak to a radiologist over the phone regarding the MRI findings.
Why do I have to pay in advance for MRI and bone density tests?
The procedure for paying the examination fee is clearly stated on our website:
Payment must reach us on the day the invoice is issued and the appointment is booked; otherwise, the appointment will be cancelled automatically. If a patient books an examination and requests an invoice but does not pay it, the appointment is held unnecessarily and we will be unable to offer further appointments. The same rule applies to patients who fail to attend without notifying us, or cancel less than 24 hours before the examination.
These rules are clear and apply to every booking.
In both private and public healthcare, there is a significant proportion (approx. 12-20%) of patients who book an appointment and then either do not show up for the examination and do not speak up, or cancel the examination on the same day. A business cannot be built on such unreliable people, these people cause significant loss of income for all service providers. Of course, this is not profession-specific, it is also typical of other sectors (e.g. hospitality).
The fact that certain services always have to be paid in advance is nothing new, but some people still act surprised, as if they have never encountered this before. For example:
– culture and entertainment: theater, cinema, concert, museum
Do you have to buy the ticket in advance?! Or do you have to pay online in advance?!
– travel: public transport, train, plane
When do you have to pay for your bus ticket, train ticket or plane ticket?!
– vacation-relaxation
Don't you have to pay the hotel or travel fee, or part of it, in advance?!
And there are countless examples of how more than just private healthcare providers have already implemented or are implementing this system.
If in the above cases it is necessary to pay in advance, it is much more, but at least as justified in the field of healthcare, when human health is at stake.
This is our operating policy, if someone doesn't like it, they simply don't use our service.
