DR Zoltan Urban
Chief Medical Officer
Neurosurgeon, specialist in sports medicine and neuropathology, pain management specialist

Dr Zoltan Urban has been dedicated for more than 25 years to ensuring that medical care is not merely a series of treatments, but a truly patient-centred approach to long-term health and prevention. Throughout his career, he has proven himself in clinical practice, emergency medicine, neurosurgery, research, and medical education — all of which he now integrates into the professional philosophy of Centro-Medical.
A professional journey built around patients
He obtained his medical degree at Semmelweis University, graduating summa cum laude. He holds three specialist qualifications (neurosurgery, neuropathology, and sports medicine), enabling him to view the human body as a complex, interconnected system rather than focusing solely on isolated symptoms.
Previously, he has worked as:
an emergency and ambulance physician,
a neurosurgeon in a hospital setting,
a researcher at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences,
and a lecturer in healthcare education and training programs.
This diverse professional background allows him today to make fast, accurate, and well-founded decisions — always with the best interests of his patients in mind.
The Centro-Medical philosophy
In 2005, he founded the Centro-Medical Health Centre, where he has since served as Founder and Medical Director. From the very beginning, the centre has been built on the following core principles:
providing modern, fast, and reliable diagnostic services,
treating patients as individuals, not as cases within a system,
placing strong emphasis on prevention and long-term health preservation.
At Centro-Medical, patients have access to a wide range of services, including:
open MRI diagnostics,
laboratory testing and bone density measurements,
sports medicine, rehabilitation, and physiotherapy services,
advanced AI-based diagnostic technologies designed to enhance accuracy and reduce waiting times.
What truly matters: the patient
At the heart of Dr. Urbán Zoltán’s work is always the patient. He believes it is essential that:
examinations are accompanied by clear and understandable explanations,
medical decisions are made collaboratively,
patients feel safe, informed, and confident throughout their care.
As a leader, he coordinates the work of a dedicated medical team while actively contributing to the professional and strategic development of the health centre.
Philosophy
“Modern medicine is not only about technology — it is also about attention, responsibility, and human presence.”
This philosophy shapes everyday practice at Centro-Medical and is why thousands of patients entrust their health to the centre year after year.
